Once upon a time, there was a junior named Kiishi who thought computers were just for social media and Netflix...
UNTIL ONE FATEFUL DAY! 🎭
She discovered the magical world of SOFTWARE ENGINEERING at Iowa State University!
Suddenly, everything changed! The screen lit up with possibilities, and Kiishi realized she had found her calling!
Like a video game character collecting power-ups, Kiishi began mastering the ancient arts of programming and started her journey into CYBERSECURITY ENGINEERING as well! Even as she took on her new minor, each language she learned only made her stronger! 💪
But wait, there's more! She also gained mystical powers in:
🔧 Git (for when she inevitably breaks everything)
⚛️ React (because who doesn't love components?)
🍃 MongoDB (where data goes to party)
📱 Android Studio (mobile magic!)
🌐 Node.js (backend wizardry)
🗄️ MySQL (relational database mastery)
🔒 Cybersecurity Fundamentals (digital defense)
📟 Verilog & VHDL (hardware sorcery)
Armed with her newfound powers, Kiishi embarked on legendary quests (a.k.a. "projects" for the muggles):
Collaborated with a team of four to develop an Android app designed as a comprehensive toolkit for students and teachers, inspired by the existing MyState app.
Achievement Unlocked: Full-stack mobile development mastery! 📱✨
Built an entire digital storefront and distribution platform for buying and playing video games! Complete with user authentication, game libraries, and purchasing systems.
Achievement Unlocked: E-commerce platform architect! 🏪🎯
Conceptualized an innovative educational online-based game platform for kids and classrooms that seamlessly integrates literature and technology.
Achievement Unlocked: EdTech visionary! 🎓🌟
Created the backend design and wireframe for a web-based murder mystery game. Players become detectives, gathering clues and solving intricate mysteries!
Achievement Unlocked: Mystery architect! 🔍🎯
Plot twist! Our hero discovered she had LEADERSHIP SUPERPOWERS! 🦸♀️
(Current Adventure!) Leveled up from peer mentoring to building entire residential communities! Now guiding students from diverse backgrounds through both life challenges and academic adventures. Like a real-life superhero for student success! 🏠✨
Leading the charge for women in tech! Overseeing officer activities, serving as Risk Management Officer, and working with the board to guide club initiatives. Because girl power isn't just a song! 🎵
(Fall 2024 - Spring 2025) Guided 20-25 freshmen through the coding wilderness! Led classrooms, mentored programming projects, and fostered technical growth through hands-on coding sessions. Like a tech Gandalf! 🧙♀️
